| Registering for CMC 2008 |

Applicants
who intend to compete in the British Columbia
regional / provincial rounds of the 2008
Canadian Music Competition must complete
TWO registrations: one with
CMC National and a second to become
a Competitor Member of CMC BC.
As a result, you will pay separate fees
to CMC National and CMC BC.
This
year, CMC has introduced a new "Junior
Programme" for young musicians aged 7-15,
who have not previously competed in the
CMC.
The
deadline for registration for the 2008
competition is Thursday, November 22,
2007. To register for the competition,

CMC
BC is please to announce the availability
of a limited number of bursaries for competitors
in financial need.
Application
Process
- All
bursary applicants must first complete
the competition registration at www.cmcnational.com
- Please
read the open letter, available here.
- Then
please download the bursary program
application form, available here.
- Complete
it electronically and save it to your
computer, or print it out and complete
it by hand.
- Attach
it along with copies of all supporting
documents to info@cmcbc.com,
or mail it to our address along with
all supporting documents by November
22nd, 2007.
Recipients
will be notified by November 26th, 2007.
All applications are reviewed by the Board
in full confidence. All decisions are
final.
Those who do not receive a bursary must
complete BC registration at www.cmcbc.com
by November 30th, 2007, or else
their national registration will be canceled.

CD Release "Celebrating
the Best in BC, Best in Canada"

The CMC BC Board is pleased to announce the
release of our promotional CD, "Celebrating
the Best in BC, Best in Canada".
The CD was recorded at our fall Showcase
Concert at Christ Church Cathedral, which
featured Team
BC members
who placed in the top 3 in Canada.

The Canadian Music Competitions - BC Society
(CMC-BC) promotes and supports the Canadian Music
Competitions.
 The CMC-BC Executive plays a vital role to
ensure that our young BC musicians and their teachers
can continue to participate in the annual competitions.
Our most visible function is organizing the CMC's
local and provincial competitions.
CMC BC Board Meetings take place in the evening of
the 3rd Sunday every month. All members are welcome
to attend. Please e-mail us and we will confirm
the time and location.
